Southpark Choir
The Southpark Choir is the church’s primary choral ensemble, leading in worship and presenting special productions throughout the year. The ensemble is comprised of members of all ages-high school to senior adult. This tight-knit choir assists in weekly worship and presents a message in song regularly. The choir embraces a variety of choral styles ranging from southern gospel to hymn arrangements, classical to contemporary. The Southpark Choir rehearses Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00 every week throughout the year with the exception of July. Come join us.
Southpark Handbell Choir
The Southpark Handbell choir is comprised of members of all ages-high school to senior adult. We ring a variety of musics ranging from hymn arrangements to pieces composed specifically for the handbell choir. We ring 4 octaves. We also ring 3 octave tone chimes. We focus on tone production, technical accuracy, and extended playing technique. More importantly, we focus on honoring the Lord with our music. We ring publicly throughout the year and in worship frequently. No experience is needed to join, but basic music reading skills are helpful. We rehearse Sunday evenings throughout the year, except in July, from 4:00 to 5:00. Come ring with us.
Children’s Music Ministry
Our youngest choir and bell choir includes children from ages 3 to 6th grade. Often split into smaller groups by age, these groups are designed to instill a love of music and worship. Musical activities include singing, handbells, percussion, movement, and dance. Music is also used as a way to teach Bible stories, lessions, and Scripture. The children present music during Sunday morning worship regularly. They also present a Spring and Christmas mini-musical. Our Children’s Music meets on Wednesday nights, every Wednesday throughout the year, from 5:30 to 7:30.
